Establishing a reputation as one of Wharfedale’s premier countryside dining destinations, The Tennants Arms Hotel has launched a new culinary approach under the direction of its owner and Executive Chef Tom Garland-Jones. Local Kilnsey trout features on the menu, along with seasonal dishes to create an experience of eating, drinking and discovering the Dales at its most casual and delicious.
The Tennants Arms Hotel is an independent run business that prides itself on locally sourced food, good range of cask ales and fine wines. Dishes are prepared from scratch by our chefs and served straight to your table. Located within our boutique hotel, our focus is on quality, home-cooked dishes for lunch and dinner.
The pub was once an important coaching stop on the busy route from Richmond to London and retains much of its authentic rustic charm. In addition to our week-day menu for lunch and dinner, our Sunday Lunch is served from noon offering mouth-watering roasts, seasonal vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire puddings and a rich gravy.
In addition to the main dining areas and pub lounge, two function rooms are ideal for private celebrations and company dinners. A beautiful oak room provides seating for up to 24 people and an isolated room with a 12-seater dining table is ideal for small meetings and bespoke dining events.
Our gastro pub is yours to do as you please, be it to meet a friends for drink, admire the view over meals, brainstorm with casual meetings, or enjoy reunions and night caps with the locals.
Whether its on countryside excursions, a family holiday, romantic escape with roaring log fires, relaxing summer evenings in our beer garden, wedding parties or just simply a visit to the Yorkshire Dales, we look forward to welcoming you to our gem in Wharfedale.
