Head Chef Ashley Binder's superb cuisine at has won many accolades over the years, and continues to attract connoisseurs of fine food and wine to Middlethorpe Hall.
Ashley says, “My aim at Middlethorpe is to create dishes that are full of flavour using local and seasonal ingredients. We are incredibly lucky to have our gardens here at Middlethorpe Hall where we can grow some of our own produce. Also by using local suppliers of meat, fish and vegetables I can create menus using the best that Yorkshire’s larder has to offer.”
The dining room is an oasis of calm, where guests leisurely dine overlooking the magnificent gardens and parkland served by a dedicated team delivering traditional excellence.
The restaurant is open to all for luncheon and dinner.
Luncheon can be taken in the Oak Room Restaurant or in fine weather a lighter meal on the terrace.
The Summer Terrace Menu includes salads and light dishes, sandwiches and puddings. This menu is available Monday to Saturday.
Luncheon is served in the restaurant every day from 12.30pm - 1.45pm. Three courses are priced at £29.50 per person, or two courses at £24.00 per person.
Traditional Sunday Luncheon is priced at £34.00 for three courses with a different menu each week.
Light snacks are also served in the Drawing Room daily; they are available between 12 noon and 9.45pm.
Afternoon Tea is an occasion to relish at Middlethorpe Hall, each afternoon this English ceremony takes place in one of the grand public rooms of the historic hall or on warm, sunny days on the terrace overlooking the manicured lawns.

Guests can relax before candlelit tables in the panelled dining rooms and enjoy antiques reflecting the tastes of several centuries. The dining room is an oasis of calm, where guests leisurely dine overlooking the magnificent view of the gardens and parkland.
Choose from an A La Carte or six course Gourmet Tasting Menu priced at £69.00 per person or £99.00 per person with a glass of selected wine to accompany each course.
