A local pub in the heart of Stillington, 10 Miles North of York on the edge of the Howardian Hills. This pub prides itself on two key attributes – great food cooked by our own Michelin Trained Chef/Owner and great Gin served by his other half. This is a young couples first venture and the first 2 years, the business has being going from strength to strength.
The food is a Modern approach to British Cuisine and yet still caters for everyone with a Daily Changing Specials Board, a Lunch and Early Doors Set Menu, a Childrens' Menu. All of this is in addition to our main a la Carte Menu which is changed every 2 months or so to keep up with the change in seasons and to give our regular customers fantastic new creations and options to enjoy.
The menu ranges from Fish and Chips and Pies to Venison and Ox Cheek including some of Eds signature Dishes such as Homemade Black Pudding or his Chocolate Tasting Plate.
The bar boasts a unique selection of drinks to entice anyone. The lagers range from Carlsberg to San Miguel and Asahi, all on Draught. There is Stowford Press and a Rekorderlig Fruit Cider always on Tap and 2 Local Ales. Then we move onto the Gin; this is a Gin Lovers Paradise. Currently we have over 100 Gins and our selection is still growing. With 10 Different Tonic selections and lots of Garnishes to choose from, the only problem is, what to have? If you need any advice on which to try, we have a full gin menu which is kept up to date and for those that don't like a G & T, we have a cocktail list and wide variety of Spirits to whet any appetite.
The Bay Tree is a new age pub with a casual dining atmosphere available in the main bar area, however a more formal approach can be had in our bright conservatory which can cater for up to 40 covers for those wishing to hire for a private function.
