The award winning Black Bull, famed for its seafood, has an exceptional a la carte menu of the highest quality, with innovative dishes and traditional classics, both utilizing the freshest seasonal ingredients.
Since its launch in March 2014 The Black Bull proves that a pub can have a highly professional skilled kitchen that produces excellent food, and front of house staff that provide a warm, professional yet inviting dining experience whilst still retaining the inherent character of the Great British Inn. With a carefully designed floor plan and considered renovations it now has an open, light and bright dining space, a suite of private dining rooms with champagne bar and luxurious bathrooms.
Establishing The Black Bull as a high quality village inn renowned for its food and service, and yet remaining a pub with good food rather than a restaurant with a bar is key and a huge part of our success to date. The wide ranging appeal of our menus using great local ingredients and our intense focus on the use of in season products reflects our commitment to becoming a great dining pub. We source all our produce from local suppliers and our own kitchen garden at Mount St John in Felixkirk. A seasonally changing menu takes diners on a culinary exploration of Yorkshire’s finest produce. Each dish showcases fresh local food of the highest quality, from the delights of spring to the fruits of summer; autumnal palate pleasers to home-cooked winter favourites.
