Brontë Birthplace walk

Thornton, just outside Bradford, is a hidden Yorkshire gem. Not only is it the birthplace of the Brontës, it has some stunning scenery and beautiful countryside.

This walk takes in historical sites, the village centre, a lovely wooded area and the Great Northern Trail with its imposing Thornton Viaduct offering views across the village.

Having a 10 month old baby with me I need something that is totally pram friendly and this is.

There is also the option of a cafe stop along the way. Distance-wise it’s about 2.5 miles but there is plenty to see and you will definitely feel you have more than stretched your legs by the time you have climbed that final hill.
