It’s the Ebor Festival this week – a four day festival of the finest horse racing in Yorkshire at the Knavesmire in York:

There’s horse racing throughout the rest of the region too as the best of the weather and biggest of the crowds fill the best time of the year for outdoor events in Yorkshire. There’s also a bumper billing at the Piece Hall in Halifax, a full run of nights at the Alhambra in Bradford Aladdin and a full billing of Lord of the Dance in York, as well as a host of low cost village fêtes and local produce shows:
