The Fox & Hounds

A fantastic traditional village pub in a stunning setting. The Fox and Hounds offers a warm welcome, great atmosphere and proper Yorkshire hospitality. The food is excellent with generous portions and plenty of choice, and the staff are friendly, attentive and clearly take pride in what they do. A lovely place to relax after exploring the Dales, with good beer and a cosy, comfortable feel. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in West Burton or passing through the area!

Lovely village pub, steeped in history in a wonderful location with great views and a nice village green. They serve lunch from 12-2 and evening meal 6-7. We didn’t get chance to eat this time but the menu looks good and it did smell nice.

We went a few times over the past week as we were on holiday. The atmosphere is great, everyone is friendly. The beer is good! Takeaway food too which is great

Went for a stroll around the village of West Burton and discovered this pub. It was a hot summers day, so we stopped for a pint and some fresh home cooked grub. Excellent quality and taste. Staff are friendly. Recommended.

Stayed at this 4 🌟 hotel a week ago. Not sure where they were looking when they gave it 4 stars! Only a 2 star at best. Room was very dated, bed uncomfortable. Food was ok, nothing special. Breakfast was served in the bar, as we had our dog with us. I know the cleaner needed to do her job, but, cleaning around us whilst we ate our breakfast....really! Won't be returning.
