Brew & Brownie

We have visited the cafe several times, generally it’s very good. It’s one of the most popular places in York. We love the coffee, it’s not too strong, very smooth and you also can taste the richness of the coffee beans. This time the pancake was not I expected. It’s a bit too rich for me. Maybe I made the wrong choice. The service is good, but generally there is always a queue outside the cafe, it usually takes 10 to 20 minutes before you get a table. Don’t worry, it means you will have good food here.

Absolutely loved my brunch here! The menu has a great variety of tasty options, and everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. I had the big brew and american pancakes — both were perfect. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy.

Had a flat white and a gingerbread cupcake. They were alright but not mind-blowing. I am giving five stars because the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I do regret having had breakfast on the day I visited because the avocado toast the table next to me were having looked fire. I would return to try that!

My boyfriend and I had a lovely meal here. We shared a few mains and they were all really really good. The coffee is great too and the biscoff latte was 10/10. Quick service and lovely staff too.

Picked here for breakfast over our hotel option and so glad we did . Excellent service and great options on the menu with the option to add items. My wife had the pancakes and said they are the best she has had , very fluffy and bacon done extra crispy as she asked for. I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, sourdough bread very fresh and good quality eggs and salmon to top. Coffee was very good as well .
