Ziggy’s feels like it’s stuck in 2005, and not in a fun way. Staff ignore you, bouncers act like they're on a power trip, and if you're a woman with a concern? Good luck being taken seriously. Zero safety, zero respect, and absolutely no vibe. Do better — or keep catering to the lads and relics, because the rest of us are moving on. 💅

I was groped by one of the bouncers here a while back during one of the student nights. I emailed the club after the incident, gave them a description and all I really got was that it would be investigated and then my emails got totally ignored after that. Now I don’t feel comfortable coming back at all, which is a shame because I used to really enjoy going here. Please be careful going here.

Ryan and Reece are amazing bouncers. Really friendly and great people. Great place with well priced drinks and good music

Went here for the very first time last night and it’s safe to say I probably won’t come back. My friends and I were having a great time dancing and singing along to the music when we decided to go to the bar to get some more drinks. As we were waiting to be served one of my friends had screamed purely just out of excitement because she liked the song that was playing. One of the female bartenders who I believed had wavy brown hair (not too sure) took that as my friend screaming at her when it was no way directed towards her. She then told all the other bartenders not to serve my friend and then I also couldn’t get served either??? I spoke to one of the male bartenders and asked why I wasn’t being served as I was just patiently waiting and did not say a single word and he said it’s because he was told not to serve me. I told him that there has been a misunderstanding and that the girl had said she wouldn’t serve my friend and that she was pointing to her not me but he still wouldn’t listen. He said we would have to speak to her about it but she completely ignored us every time we tried to talk to her. My friend even apologised to her and tried to clarify that when she screamed it was because they’d put a song on that she liked and she wasn’t screaming at her but she wouldn’t give us the time of day. The male bartender was completely useless in trying to help me and he didn’t seem to care that I was not being served despite me doing absolutely nothing wrong. I am autistic and situations like these are very overwhelming to me and I ended up having a full autistic meltdown in the club. In summary the bartenders completely abuse their power and are just straight up rude for no reason. Completely ruined my night.

Yeha it's good for the student nights 100%. Definitely the best clubbing music in york/ the only one that goes for the proper house/bass stuff. Avoid on Fridays n Saturdays lol
