Great little place. Good chat with the guy running the place (standing in for the owner that day), really helpful and happy to play different things. After our chinwag he made a suggestion to me which was the Isaac Hayes "Truck Turner" OST, original UK pressing, worse for wear cover but excellent condition record. Very good price, and a great recommendation, he sussed what I would like quick. And I learned something too when I got home and found this record to be auto-coupled, but of a curio. I have no other records like that.
Don't tell anyone ! Great bargains to be had ! Books records art they have it all ! Support your local indie shops !
Great selection of books on art, music, film and graphic novels. Some nice rare stuff. Cool art prints for great prices and interesting selection of 7"s. Definitely prioritse a visit here if you're in York and have good taste.
Well worth a visit. A great secondhand selection of records ,fairly priced and not a coloured vinyl reissue anywhere to be seen. Friendly , helpful staff. Would be a weekly dig if I lived locally.
A hidden gem. I’ve shopped here for years and there’s an excellent range of vinyl and books. The owner is lovely and really helpful and the range of jazz records is particularly sublime.
