Record Plant York

Mainly new and sealed modern ‘Vinyls’. No listening facilities, I walked in to a conversation between the attendant and customer discussing the attractiveness of the Pop poster aesthetic and what it had to offer to a modern record shop.. nuff said.

I write this review from an online experience, but credit it to the York store for coming across them on social media. I had royally messed up my daughters Christmas record order, and ended up chasing Pablo Honey by Radiohead. I had initially chosen to go to the big name outlets, that couldnt get this record to me until mid January. Then, I discovered Record Plant, and thought I would give them a go, as Christmas fast approached, I thought I am pushing to get it delivered in time by anyone and my only hope was picking it up myself. Really, really really not wanting to venture in to any town or city now, I ordered from Record Plant online. Ok, I had the usual expected adition of postage fees, the but the cost of the vinyl was on the cheaper to average price compared to other stores. And from ordering to deliver was only 4 days which is great at this time of year. So Christmas is saved (or I am at least) and I can look forward to calling in to the store next time I am in York, as our daughters love for vinyl has kick started our collecting.
