You know what I think this is a great snooker venue and venue in general, the staff are friendly and the food, while average at best is nice enough. It's a well organised site and the seating is good all around and no seats is a bad seat. I thoroughly enjoyed my snooker here
Great place, Many years ago it had a swimming pool but unfortunately it’s gone. The stay city hotel connected to the venue is currently housing immigrants. I’ve seen many live bands, acts and sporting events in the venue and is the best the city has. Drinks are pricey so if you did want a few drinks go to the spoons down the road. Go every year for snooker and it’s good!
I went to York Barbican to see Riverdance and it was absolutely brilliant! The show was mesmerizing from start to finish. The venue itself was lovely, comfortable seating, good sound, and clear views of the stage from where we were sitting. A special mention goes to all the staff — they were fantastic! Friendly, helpful and welcoming, really added to the positive experience. Overall, a wonderful visit. I’d definitely come back for another show!
Great show Muppets Christmas Carol with a live orchestra. Entry was quick with security scanner then tickets at the door . Very impressed.Small glass of Rose was £8.90ish bit much but nevermind. Would definitely visit again in the future.
We travelled from Manchester to see wet wet wet, here. What a great venue, not too big and great view! My friend had a broken toe, and was using a stick to walk. Jane looked after us, and moved us to a more accessible seat. She really did go above and beyond to help us, which made it alot easier for my friend. Jane was a lovely lady, chatted to us and made us feel so welcome.. We'll definitely come back again, and will be keeping an eye out for future shows/gigs.
