WINTER AT FLAMINGO LAND
During winter Flamingo Land’s zoo is open across weekends and school holidays from 28th November 2015 to 6th March 2016. This includes daily during the February half term from Saturday 13th - Sunday 21st February 2016.
You will quickly discover what makes Flamingo Land the UK’s most visited zoo (Source: Visit England). With over 140 species of reptiles, mammals and birds, including the amazing Penguin Coast, you can enjoy an amazing view of the animal kingdom. A variety of animal feeding times with Keeper Talks and a sea lion show are included within your admission. See the progress of the 2 Rothschild giraffe calves that was born in 2015. For unrestricted views, meander through the Lemur and Wallaby Walkways. Flamingo Land has also recently welcomed mother and baby Black Rhinos from Zurich which are housed in the newly built Selous Black Rhino Reserve, complete with viewing platform.
You can take part in the Zoo Trail and book 30 minute animal encounters too. Play in Children’s Planet with climbing frames and tunnels, and younger children can ride on Tractors at Muddy Duck Farm along with several other small rides - Helitoys, Mischief Mansion, Wacky Races and Jungle Carousel.
From 13th February, the majority of Dino-Stone Park will also open. Soar on Pterodactyl which swings you 150 feet into the air, or pedal on Cyclosaur gaining height the faster you cycle! Or spin round on the Twistosaurus dinosaur eggs as you go twisting around the track.
And when you need a break from all this excitement, enjoy a brunch, lunch or Afternoon Tea in our newly renovated Georgian Mansion House & Tea Rooms.
SHORT BREAKS AND HOLIDAYS FROM FEBRUARY 2016 ONWARDS
You can book your short break or holiday for 2016 in our Holiday Village now (for a Zoo Break at February Half Term, or a full season holiday with theme park, leisure complex and entertainment venue from 12th March 2016).
Flamingo Land is an ideal base for a short break or longer holiday, situated between York and the east coast. The Flamingo Land Holiday Village is situated right next to the theme park, and offers luxury accommodation from holiday homes to premium lodges. And for guests who want to be at the heart of the action, 4 newly refurbished self-catering cottages are also available. Featuring 2 and 3 bedroom options, you will find these Riverside Cottages conveniently located alongside Riverside One. There is also a newly renovated Gate House situated just before the park entrance for those that with to stay in a secluded location in the picturesque village of Kirby Misperton. Or if you prefer, you can buy your own holiday home.
Alternatively, you can bring your own touring caravan, motorhome or tent to our campsite.
All staying guests have exclusive use of the swimming pool with 2 indoor slide flumes and newly refurbished leisure facilities including a new gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and cafe There is also a 9 hole golf course. The Club is a premium entertainment venue for Holiday Village guests (Leisure complex, golf course and The Club re-opens on 12th March 2016).
