Description
Once a coaching inn and village pub we have made this characterful old building our home and B&B for nearly 30 years. Situated in the middle of the Wensleydale village of West Witton it is an excellent base for walking, cycling and touring the Dales.
There are five en suite bedrooms and two smaller doubles which share a bathroom. All rooms are well equipped with TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hair driers etc. Two of the en suite rooms can be used as family rooms and are on the ground floor in a cottage in the garden.
In summer you can relax in the secluded cottage garden and enjoy the views over Wensleydale. In winter curl up in front of the roaring log burner in the lounge.
To start the day why not tuck in to cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice etc. followed by a full English breakfast cooked to order from local ingredients, finishing off with toast and home made jam or marmalade. Vegetarian options are always available.
We have a good selection of maps and books available for you to borrow and are delighted to give you suggestions and advice on activities.
We welcome well behaved dogs, can provide safe storage for bicycles and have plenty of off road parking. There is free WiFi in the lounge.
In the village there are two pubs, one an excellent village local and the other known for its fine food. There is also a church and a general store.
