A media extravaganza
The National Science and Media Museum has so much going on, it’s hard to know where to start. But if you love film, photography, TV, radio or gaming, it’s best to jump right in. Kids can get hands on with more than 20 mind-bending exhibits in the state-of-the-art Wonderlab, exploring how light and sound form the building blocks of the technology around us every day. Visitors can also get gaming in the Games Lounge, journey through popular photography and watch favourite TV moments in TV Heaven. The Museum is also home to Yorkshire’s first IMAX cinema – showing jaw-dropping 3D short films and movies.
A greener life
You might be surprised to discover that Bradford is also a city of parks and green spaces. Six Bradford parks have once again been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Awards, including Lister Park which has its formal Mughal Water Gardens, boating lake and children’s play area.
Green Fingers
Hop along to Grass Hoppers Outdoor Adventure Playground at Tong Garden Centre for proper outdoor fun. Have a bounce on the jumping pillows, zoom down the zip wire, play and dig in the giant sandpit, glide down the slides, drive around the race tracks and much more!
