The Bradfield Festival of Music 2024 returns with a week of glorious music in a magical setting, featuring some of the finest international and local artists.

We are delighted to welcome back Jeneba Kanneh-Mason – this outstanding young pianist enthralled our audience in 2022 with her technically brilliant and emotionally charged piano playing and for 2024 will perform works by Scarlatti, Chopin, Grant Still and Prokofiev; and Camerata RCO: the chamber ensemble of the Concertgebouw Orchestra in intimate string and piano quintets by Dvorak and Schumann.

Join us for evenings with – the genre defying Tim Kliphuis Trio, who spectacularly fuse world, jazz and classical genres with improvisatory genius; – The Lisa Friend Trio, with fabulous flute playing of popular classical and film music; – Ben Goldscheider, former BBC Young Musician finalist and Principal Horn with the West-Eastern Divan orchestra, who will perform some of the most virtuosic works in the horn repertoire, music in turn that is technically challenging, melodically beautiful, lyrical and flamboyant, accompanied on piano by Richard Uttley; – and the multiple award winning Consone Quartet, the first period instrument ensemble to be selected as BBC New Generation Artists. Their recent recordings of Haydn and Mendelssohn Quartets are highly acclaimed. Experience classical and romantic music expressively performed in period style – with performances variously described as brilliant, exhilarating, sensitive, honest and something special, we are delighted to welcome the Consone Quartet to Bradfield.

The Festival opens on the 22nd June with the acclaimed Sheffield Chamber Choir, in music beautifully suited to setting.

All concerts are held in the historic Grade 1 listed Parish Church of St Nicholas, High Bradfield, Sheffield, South Yorkshire with its fine acoustics and beautiful views over the undulating landscapes of the Peak District National Park.

Doors open 18:45 (Patrons), 19:00 (Standard). Concerts start at 19:30, include an interval of 20 minutes and will finish around 21:30.
