Newcastle raised but now residents of Brighton, Sick Joy cut together a malign heaviness with acidic melody, then tied into place by the reigns of contagious pop. Sick Joy’s blood is dirtied with echoes of Nirvana, Pixies and Smashing Pumpkins.
