in Sheffield

Following their triumphant return to the stage with the ‘Refuelled! Tour’ last year, Mike + The Mechanics are back to delight fans across the UK with the announcement of their upcoming ‘Looking Back – Living The Years 2025 Tour’.

The tour promises a nostalgic experience through their timeless hits and a nod to Genesis classics, thrilling audiences in venues throughout the country.

A Musical Experience Renewed

Mike Rutherford and the band are set to begin a musical expedition starting in March 2025, with a schedule that covers the length and breadth of the UK.

Audiences can expect an electrifying setlist featuring beloved tracks such as ‘Over My Shoulder’, ‘The Living Years’, and ‘All I Need Is A Miracle’. Additionally, the tour will also pay homage to the iconic Genesis, promising renditions of some of their most celebrated songs.

The Band’s Evolution and Impact

Mike + The Mechanics, initially formed in 1985 by Mike Rutherford as a creative outlet separate from Genesis, quickly carved out its own place in music history. The band’s original lineup, featuring vocalists Paul Young and Paul Carrack, enjoyed massive commercial success through the 80s and 90s. Their path was marked by hit singles and albums that resonated globally, culminating in over 10 million album sales.

After a brief hiatus following the untimely death of Paul Young in 2000 and a subsequent pause in activities, the band reformed in 2011 with new members Andrew Roachford and Tim Howar. Their chemistry revitalized the band’s dynamic, leading to new music and successful tours that continued their heritage.

Anticipation Builds for Tickets

With the excitement building, fans are eager to secure their spots at these must-see performances. Ticket sales are set to start with a presale on Thursday, 02 May 2024, available to those who sign up for the Sheffield City Hall newsletter.

General ticket sales will follow on Friday, 03 May 2024. Both can be accessed through the Sheffield City Hall’s website, ensuring fans won’t miss the chance to partake in these memorable nights.

Sheffield City Hall: A Venue of Heritage and Prestige

Sheffield City Hall, the starting point of the tour, is itself a venue steeped in history.
