The historic Whittington & Cat Pub, situated in a prime spot across from Hull Marina, is set to receive significant restoration thanks to a grant from Hull City Council’s Levelling Up Funding (LUF) allocation.
This funding aims to rejuvenate the pub’s deteriorating exterior and make necessary repairs, ensuring the building remains a staple of Hull’s heritage while providing further employment opportunities.

The Whittington & Cat has been allocated £69,916.69 in LUF funding from the council. This money will be used to restore the pub’s exterior, which has fallen into disrepair. Along with the grant, almost £100,000 of private capital will be invested in the project, which is estimated to cost £167,199.05.
