Big Country is a Scottish rock band that rose to fame in the 1980s with hits such as “In a Big Country” and “Fields of Fire”. The band’s unique sound, which blended traditional Scottish folk music with rock and roll, made them a favorite among fans of the genre. Interestingly, the band’s lead singer, Stuart Adamson, was born in Manchester but grew up in Crossgates, a suburb of Leeds in Yorkshire.
