One of the world’s favourite podcasts, The Guilty Feminist is coming to York this Thursday. The live show is a follow-up to the rip-roaring panel discussion show focussed around the contradictions of modern feminism.
I could live there!
The force behind the show, Deborah Frances-White, spoke to Yorkshire.com about visiting York:
“I love York! The beautiful town centre. The charming people. The nearby stunning views. Friends of mine have moved there & honestly I could live there & might yet!”

Visiting York on Thursday
Overlooking the ancient protective walls of York city, the Barbican Theatre in York is just a stone’s throw from the York Castle museum and the beautiful Southern Esplanade walk alongside the River Ouse. Thursday’s forecast is for warm weather and sunshine. There is 24 hour parking available at the Q-Park facility on Kent street and regular train services to the main station just 1 mile away.
The Show
The Guilty Feminist counts Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Emma Thompson as fans. Visitors to York still have the chance to get their hands on tickets for the show on Thursday 19th May.
More about the show:
Hosted by Deborah Frances-White and featuring a different array of world-class guests each night, together, they examine our noble goals as 21st-century feminists – and our hypocrisies and insecurities that undermine those goals. With over 95 million downloads in six years, this is the show that proves you don’t have to be perfect to be a force for meaningful change.
