An easy walk around the three parts of the Redmires Reservoir, just inside the Peak District National Park and on the outskirts of Sheffield.

Exit the car park via the way you drove in. Turn right to join Redmires Road, then walk all the way down the road, with the reservoir on your left and taking care as there is no pavement. At the end of the road, pass through the “A” frame gate and along the path to the reservoir embankment between the upper and middle reservoirs.
Do not turn left onto the embankment as this is part of a Nature Reserve, but keep to the path on the right, towards the middle reservoir. Cross the footbridge, and carry on the path as it turns right and follow it to the end of the dam between the middle and low reservoirs.
Walk past the end of the dam and keep on the path to reach the shore of the lower Redmires reservoir. Go through the kissing gate at the east point of the reservoir, and turn left, keeping the reservoir embankment on your left. Head towards the bridge and cross it, then cross another bridge shortly afterwards.
Turn left and continue along the tarmac access road, turning right at the end onto a footpath. This path runs alongside the wood, and then through it, to meet Redmires Road. Turn left, and walk along Redmires Road to eventually reach the car park where you started the walk.
