KAG Gallery - Kingston Art Group
About
Description
Kingston Art Group is in its 25th year as an artistic community in the city of Hull, providing affordable studio space for a great number of visual artists with varying outlooks and practices be they full time professionals, or part time enthusiasts.
KAG also provides support for regional Artists through its new associate membership scheme, which allows a larger number of non-studio holders to be involved in the group and its activities.
In May 2012 KAG was awarded Arts Council funding to expanded into new accommodation in two separate locations: a studio hub at Barmston Street and studios and a Gallery space in Hull’s cultural quarter, Humber Street.
KAG Gallery, housed in the historic Fruit Market area of Hull, is a venue of growing reputation locally and nationally, supporting group members in exposure for their practice through a program of entertaining and challenging exhibitions, as well as hosting community workshops, theatrical productions and collaborating on events like the Sesh, Folk and Freedom Festivals. The Gallery shows work from Artists of regional and international standing and has collaborated with many organisations such as Wykeland, Hull FC and Dove House Hospice.
We are open Saturdays and Sundays (12-4) during exhibitions and festivals. For further details see our Facebook page: Kingston Artgroup or see www.kingstonartgroup.co.uk
