Originally built around the 17th century, our traditional village inn lies directly on Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk and marks 66 miles left to Robin Hood's Bay.

We are extremely proud to be featured in the upcoming Good Beer Guide 2012 and offer a comprehensive selection of local real ales and wholesome pub meals.

We have comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation for those needing to rest their weary legs and for the more intrepid traveller, we have a number of camping pitches.

We hope to see you soon and if you're lucky enough you may even catch a glimpse of our local sword dancing team practising!
