The Old Cello Workshop

Description

We love the Old Cello Workshop - it was our home for a time. The cottage is situated just off the Green with views across the road of fields and often sheep, and when the trees are bare, Culloden Tower. The woods and the River Swale are almost neighbours! Town centre is only 5 minutes walk up a hill. Here there are pubs, restaurants, Georgian Theatre Royal, shops, museums, parks and castle.
The cottage is 'upside down' with 2 bedrooms, toilet and shower room on ground floor beneath living/dining room, which is lovely and light. Six double glazed Velux and windows give lots of natural light and warmth, and there's a gas fire and central heating throughout for colder weather. Kitchen breakfast room is just a few steps down from living room, with entrance hall and bathroom next door and attic bedroom above, (cottage is built on a hillside which gives split level effect) off street parking is within a fenced area which has garden furniture, shrubs and flowers. Additional parking is just across the road. Guests who have stayed at the Old Cello have left many good comments. For example "a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting - we really felt at home - many thanks for the opportunity to stay here"
