You enter Lea Cottage via the back door, from the paved drive/patio area. There is a small vestibule, ideal for leaving your muddy boots or beach kit and this leads into the kitchen.
The kitchen has all the usual appliances including a WASHING MACHINE (no dryer), FRIDGE/FREEZER and DISHWASHER. The kitchen window looks out over the back garden. The ‘L’ shaped layout leads around into the dining area which is a good size and has a large pine dining table and six chairs along with a sideboard and a well-stocked tourist information display. There is also a small TV which can be watched from the dining table. There is a useful under-stairs store cupboard here.
The door from the dining area opens into the lounge. This is a pretty and traditionally-furnished room with two comfortable sofas, coffee table and TV with integral DVD. …very inviting.
The second door from the lounge leads to the front door which has a large double-glazed porch. This houses two conservatory chairs and a table, offering useful extra seating. The doors from here can be opened onto the enclosed front garden.
On the first floor are the TWO BEDROOMS and a FAMILY BATHROOM.
The master bedroom is a good size and has a double bed, good-quality pine furniture, a large walk-in storage cupboard and a wardrobe.
The second bedroom has BUNK-BEDS and a SINGLE BED offering flexible accommodation for families or group of friends (see advice on numbers below). Both bedrooms have pleasant open views over the village and the surrounding countryside.
The bathroom is a very good size with a WC, washbasin, corner bath and separate enclosed walk-in shower.

The cottage has full central heating and all heating and hot-water are included in the price.

The back garden has a patio area ideal for BBQ’s, a raised pond and lawned areas.
There are open rural views from the rear of the property.
1 dog up to medium size is welcome free-of-charge.

It’s just a short walk to the village centre. The large, friendly village of Cayton is a regular winner of the Village in Bloom competition.
There’s a good pub serving food nearby and a Post Office, General Store and Fish & Chips in the village. …plus freshwater fishing, playing fields and a children’s playfarm a couple of minutes down the road.
At the next village of Lebberston you will find the Stained Glass Centre & Tea Rooms …and from Easter to October a Giant Car Boot Sale & Market.
You can easily drive to Filey or Scarborough in 10-15 minutes…and don’t forget the advantages of being slightly out of resort.. .very easy parking. …and much more property for your money.
Inland within 5 miles are The Yorkshire Wolds and North York Moors. Whitby is 25 miles north. York is less than an hour’s drive west.
