in Hull

Get ready for an unforgettable experience at The Deep this May half-term! From May 25th to June 2nd, join us for a week filled with exciting, family-friendly activities focused on water safety and rescue operations.

This year, The Deep has once again partnered with RNLI, HM Coastguard, and the local charity Humber Rescue to bring H₂O Heroes to life. We’re thrilled to offer an even bigger and better event this year, packed with engaging and educational opportunities for all ages.

Meet the H₂O Heroes

The Deep is honored to collaborate with the RNLI, HM Coastguard, and Humber Rescue for the second consecutive year. These partnerships provide invaluable training and support, helping us deliver the highly anticipated H₂O Heroes event. Katy Duke, Chief Executive Officer at The Deep, expressed her excitement:

“We are delighted to welcome back our partners this May half-term. The Deep’s Crew have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of training opportunities each rescue team has provided, in addition to their valued support in helping us deliver the popular H₂O Heroes event.”

Event Highlights

Safety First: Learn from the Experts

H₂O Heroes focuses on the important theme of water safety. Throughout the event, families can interact with real-life rescue teams and gain insights into their lifesaving operations. The teams will showcase their rescue demonstration vehicles and dress-up kits, making for fantastic photo opportunities and hands-on learning experiences.

Interactive Presentations and Demonstrations

From 10am to 3pm, join us for hourly presentations where you can learn essential water safety tips. These sessions will cover topics like how to ‘float like a starfish’ to stay safe on the water’s surface. Each presentation is packed with valuable information to help you and your loved ones stay safe while enjoying coastal activities.

Exciting Activities for All Ages

Don’t miss the chance to participate in our flag-themed trail! Complete the trail and you could win a FREE tour of the local RNLI Lifeboat station in Bridlington. It’s a fun and educational activity that the whole family can enjoy together.

Unlimited Fun with Annual Passes

Every standard entry ticket to The Deep doubles as an Annual Pass, granting you unlimited visits for an entire year at no extra cost. This means you can come back and enjoy all the wonders of The Deep as many times as you like within 12 months.

Plan Your Visit

The H₂O Heroes half-term event is included with your standard ticket entry, so there’s no need for additional booking. However, we highly recommend booking your tickets online in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit.
