FILEY

Filey beach

WHITBY

Whitby is always a popular holiday destination but don’t worry, with over 2 miles of sand, there is more than enough room for everyone! Whitby is a 2023 Blue Flag and Seaside Award Winner.

The West Cliff beach stretches up to the West Pier and as well as glorious coastal views, you can also see the vibrant holiday beach huts and throughout the summer there are donkey ride availables. Named one of The Sunday Times Best Beaches 2023. Whitby West Cliff has a Blue Flag Award.

ROBIN HOOD’S BAY

Yorkshire’s coastline at its most raw and elemental. Here, brooding cliffs tower over a huddle of red roofed former fishing cottages that spill right down to the edge of the sea, creating a lost in time getaway for anyone who loves unusual architecture and breath-taking scenery.

SCARBOROUGH

The town has not one but two great beaches to take advantage of too. North Bay is a sandy beach with rocky outcrops to the north which becomes isolated at high tide and provides brilliant rock pool areas at low tide. North Bay has a Blue Flag Award. Scarborough North Bay is a 2023 Blue Flag and Seaside Award Winner.

South Bay has a large sandy bay and it also has a working harbour and was named in the top beaches for England by the Sunday Times in 2023.

CAYTON BAY

Cayton Bay, in-between Scarborough and Filey, has a magnificent wide sweeping bay, a year-round dog-friendly beach, clean water, affordable parking and great facilities.

BRIDLINGTON

Bridlington’s North Beach is a mixture of sand and shingle – perfect for building sandcastles.

HORNSEA

A sandy beach with a lifeguard during high season. Hornsea beach has a Blue Flag Award. Hornsea beach is a 2023 Blue Flag and Seaside Award Winner.

WITHERNSEA

A lifeguarded sand & shingle beach, Withernsea is located towards the turn-off for Spurn Point. Withernsea beach is backed by a promenade, seaside car park and public toilets. Withernsea beach has Blue Flag Award. Withernsea beach is a 2023 Blue Flag and Seaside Award Winner.

  1. Yorkshire coast beaches are the best , love all of them but my favourites are Filey with its mixture of sandy beach and rock pools at Filey Brigg. Also love Danes Dyke with all of its rock pools, and Flamborough with all its interesting coves.
