Finance Manager
<p>HW Finance are pleased to be partnering with a leading construction and manufacturing business, backed by Private Equity and in their next phase of growth, to hire a new Finance Manager to join the team.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>About the role:</p> <p>This is a hands-on and varied role, owning month end process, business partnering commercial teams, embedding best practice, and managing a small team. This role is ideal for someone seeking a varied management position, offering broad exposure in a fast-growing and successful business. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the management accounting and reporting function across a division of the business</li><li>Manage the accounting for work-in-progress (WIP)</li><li>Prepare and review contract cost accruals, provisions and margin recognition</li><li>Manage balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments</li><li>Produce variance analysis with supporting commentary</li><li>Support preparation of board packs, with KPI performance reporting</li><li>Responsible for VAT and CIS tax collation and submission</li><li>Work closely with senior commercial leaders to ensure accurate monthly reporting</li><li>Own rolling and quarterly forecasting process</li><li>Provide clear commercial analysis, reviewing project performance and challenging assumptions</li><li>Support on pricing and tenders for wider business</li><li>Support the production of group statutory accounts</li><li>Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors</li><li>Maintain strong financial control</li><li>Support process improvement and any finance transformation as required</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>About You:</p> <ul> <li>ACA/ACCA Qualified </li><li>Strong technical accounting/financial reporting background</li><li>Experience of project/contract accounting required in a similar environment (construction/engingeering/tech)</li><li>Strong Excel skills</li><li>Ability to liaise with and challenge stakeholders at all levels</li><li>People management/mentoring experience</li><li>Experience of new ERP implementation (desirable)</li><li>Proactive and professional in approach</li><li>Strong attention to detail, with the ability to see the bigger picture </li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>What’s on offer:</p> <ul> <li>Salary c£60-65k (dependent on experience)</li><li>Hybrid working</li><li>Strong progression prospects</li></ul> <p><br /></p>
