Actually an alright store, was ignored when called for assistance at cash machine . They never ever seem to answer landlines phone ,so had to walk to find out for myself what I wanted to find out, I was also ringing phone when there can be heard loud clear staff walking in/out ov storeroom where phone is. What I went for it was out of cash,Yeah cash machine how annoying longer walk to centre now. P.S THATS mostly everyday they don't answer, but they answer n talk on Mobiles whilst working.
It’s got a One Stop brand and name but doesn’t stock the same products as other one stop stores. Didn’t have the same strength nicotine pouches that only one stop seem to stock so that was a let down. Tried to get a can of pop but told £8 minimum spend for card payments.. again all other one stop’s have no minimum card spend.. don’t know what makes this once different.. felt more like a corner shop than a one stop
Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience pickup a parcel from this shop. I had a Thread order that went missing. They tried to put me in the corner to wait for them to finish servicing the other customers without resolution and I had to go again and again to speak and explain that Collect+ appears to have delivered the package. Initiated investigations with all the parties involved just to be told the shop lost the package. They were showing me a kind of receipt. They might have given my package to somebody else. Maybe they saw it big and nice box, with clothes and shoes and wanted it for themselves. I am not even going to buy a bag of crisps from there. Untrustworthy and not helpful at all.
Called in here for the first time in years. The last time I was there I think it had the old name. Anyway the new staff who replaced the old lad who ran this place well for years are a bunch of ignorant, ill mannered cretins. Closed up before the time and threw a poor lass out who was desperate for some electric for her meter. Everything is overpriced and you barely get a grunt of acknowledgement at any point. Terrible place won't be calling again and been a customer since I was six years old.
Spot on local corner shop. Friendly staff most of whom really go the extra mile without being asked. They have really looked after us locals during covid, I'd rather get what I can here than trek down to Tesco. Its often busy, and you sometimes have to queue, but that just shows it's a popular well used shop. They have decent offers, and every day stuff like tinned tomatoes and bleach is cheaper than the supermarket. Top Mark's!
