I was very disappointed, I went today, there were lots of staff suggesting to get the app. They focused on couples, no one approached me as a single shopper. I find that very discriminating. Single shoppers need more help than couples!!
Tonight’s shop in Brough Lidl wasn’t the best experience, I used one of the large blue trolleys as I forgot my £1 for the metal one. I took it with me through the till as others were doing and then placed my bag inside as my groceries were being scanned (the girl on the till No1 was very polite and professional). I then went through the ‘anti theft’ metal exit gate and the alarm went off very very loud🫨 (I presume because my blue trolley was with me and Lidl thought I was stealing it). My moan….. At this point a staff member shouted at me at the top of her voice so the whole store heard. Don’t know what she said as she was yelling and mumbling at the same time, as I tried to ask what I had done wrong, she walked away, it was very unprofessional and embarrassing, maybe a spot of further staff training is needed in this instance!!
