Friendly and helpful staff and it beats every other Halifax based supermarket on value. Ideal in the evenings when the car park is less busy. There are bus stops outside.
Great place to shop, with low prices. Produce is of a good quality and the bakery section is awesome. “Middle of Lidl” is one of the best things for bargain hunters. Only let down by the long waiting times at the tills.
Great alternative to your usual Tesco’s and Asda’s of the world. Great value and friendly staff.
Great shop. Great prices. Clean. Kind people, if your skin matches theirs. 😑
Lidl’s bakery section is a true hidden gem, offering an incredible range of freshly baked goods at unbeatable prices. The moment you walk in, the scent of warm pastries and bread fills the air, making it hard to resist picking up a treat (or two!). Their selection is impressive for a supermarket, with everything from crusty baguettes and multigrain loaves to buttery croissants and delicious pastries. The quality is fantastic—each item is fresh, soft, and flavorful. The pretzels and chocolate twists are my go-to favorites, perfect for a snack on the go, while the ciabatta rolls make a great base for homemade sandwiches. The best part is the value; you get artisan-level bread and pastries at a fraction of the cost you’d find elsewhere. Plus, Lidl often rotates seasonal items, which keeps the bakery interesting and gives you new options to try each visit. The self-serve layout is convenient, and everything is usually well-stocked, so it’s easy to grab what you need. Overall, Lidl’s bakery is a wonderful surprise for anyone who loves quality baked goods on a budget. It’s a must-visit section that adds a special touch to each shopping trip.
