<p><strong>Transport Supervisor / Team Leader - Leeds - c.£32,000</strong></p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>This Transport Supervisor / Team Leader opportunity is with a well-established transport operation based in Leeds, supporting the day-to-day running of a busy distribution environment.</p> <p>The business is looking for a hands-on Transport Supervisor / Team Leader who can support the Transport Manager in leading the daily operation, ensuring vehicles depart on time, drivers are well supported and customer service standards remain high.</p> <p>This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of daily transport activities while developing your leadership experience within a fast-paced Logistics distribution and supply chain environment.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p> <p><br /></p> <ul> <li>Supporting the day-to-day supervision of the transport operation</li><li>Managing driver briefings, debriefs and daily operational queries</li><li>Monitoring vehicle departures, delivery performance and service levels</li><li>Supporting transport planning and responding to live operational issues</li><li>Ensuring compliance with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and transport legislation</li><li>Working closely with warehouse and wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teams to ensure efficient operational delivery</li><li>Monitoring transport KPIs and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement</li><li>Supporting driver performance, engagement and day-to-day people management</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Key experience</strong></p> <p><br /></p> <ul> <li>Previous experience within transport operations, transport planning or transport supervision</li><li>Experience leading or supporting operational teams within a transport environment</li><li>Good understanding of transport legislation, drivers' hours and compliance requirements</li><li>Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure</li><li>Experience operating within a Logistics distribution and supply chain environment</li><li>Confident using transport management systems and Microsoft Office</li><li>A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for operational excellence</li></ul> <p>This Transport Supervisor / Team Leader role in Leeds is ideal for someone looking to join a growing business where they can make a genuine impact on transport performance while continuing to develop their leadership career.</p> <p><br /></p>
