Some members of staff are lovely here but some wouldn't know what customer service was even if it hit them in the face. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a service that One Stop in Leyburn offers is Evri parcel pick ups and drop offs? I often feel an inconvenience when I go to collect or send off a parcel here but today was extra special. I get that we all have bad days but you should not be inflicting that on me, especially when you work in the retail industry. I walked in and said 'Hi, I'm here to collect a parcel from Evri please', to which the staff member named Jean responded with ' I don't care' in a drawn out, childlike, ill manner and began to laugh. I laughed it off because I felt extremely awkward and shocked that those were the first words that came out of her mouth, not even a hello. Anyway, I dismissed this as I thought she might be going through a tough time and tried to be empathetic. Next she asks who the parcel is from, I respond with Evri. She then goes 'name?' so I give her my name and she goes 'what'. Okay, maybe she didn't hear me even though I thought I was speaking clearly. I repeat myself to which she says 'what' again in a rude tone. I realise this is how she is going to communicate with me from start to finish, unhelpful and disobliging. I repeat myself again and even spell my name out to which she acknowledges this time, no thanks from Jean. She then says what size is the parcel as if I'm supposed to know how the sender has packaged my item? I try and help her by giving her a brief description, no thanks from Jean. She then says 'right, I'll go find your parcel. I'll probably be a long time' and proceeds to laugh and scoff. At this point it's very clear that she's fed up with something but that is not my fault and I shouldn't have had to endure this when I was simply collecting a parcel from them which is a popular service they offer. It more or less ended there but as I left I was in shock from the whole ordeal and considered going back in and saying something however I feel, given the mood Jean seemed to be in, this may not have been a wise idea. Word of advice, sometimes you've just got to put a smile on your face and remember that your problems are not other peoples. Shocking customer service. Don't worry though, I won't be sending my deliveries to your pick up location anymore, I wouldn't want to burden you anymore than I have done today.
Arrogant store manager, and the staff are not so friendly.
Friendly staff good atmosphere with a not bad variety of products
