Over the years we have been asked many times if there are darker versions of the Wishbone chair. The standard dark finishes offered by Carl Hansen do have some drawbacks. The darkest wood stain, Smoked Oak, is not very dark and the Black Lacquer finish can chip if the chair is knocked against the table edge. Working with Carl Hansen over a period of 8 months, all of us at Holloways of Ludlow are extremely proud of our exclusive Ebony Oak Wishbone chair. The finish is simply gorgeous. From a distance it is a near black colour yet, when seen close up, the richness of the oak grain and gorgeous dark chocolate and charcoal tones emerge. Because it is a stain, any wear and tear over the years can be easily repaired by applying more stain. Underneath, each chair features a unique badge celebrating the collaboration between Holloways of Ludlow and Carl Hansen.
