Jersey Royal PotatoesJersey Royals are grown by our dedicated group of farmers on the island of Jersey. Although modern technology is used where appropriate, traditionally the potatoes are planted and harvested by hand, especially those on the steep, south facing slopes (côtils). A number of sandy fields still have seaweed (Vraic) spread on them to give nutrients to the soil and to add to the potato's delicious flavour. The Jersey Royal can only come from the island and it has a protected Designation of Origin (PDO), awarded in 1997.. Famously delicious new potatoes. Jersey Royal.
