Stainless Steel Balustrade - Middle Post - Handrail

Extend the straight lengths of your glass and stainless steel balustrade quickly and easily with our easy to install intermediate post. The tubular post is 42.4mm in diameter and is suppled predrilled with holes on both sides to accommodate the 4 glass clamps and bolts which are included with each post. The glass clamps each measure L65mm x W44mm x D27mm. The mid post is finished with a fixed handrail bracket, making it suitable for use on projects with over 600mm fall height such as raised decks and balconies, and the post has a circular base plate. The post measures 1170mm high (1100mm post with 70mm bracket). With an ultra-smooth, modern 400 grit brushed satin finish, the durable balustrade posts are made of exterior grade 316 stainless steel with 2% molybdenum for added corrosion resistance. While 316 stainless steel is renowned for its corrosion resistance, it is not immune to the potentially corrosive effects of exposure to salt, particularly in coastal areas. While it may provide enhanced protection compared to 304 stainless steel, the relentless presence of salt in sea air and its corrosive nature can still impact the material. Therefore, we do not recommend installing 316 stainless steel balustrade railings within a 10 mile proximity to the sea.
