Chair 1 by Grythyttan Stalmobler features a sprung steel frame that offers a pleasant rocking sensation when sitting, allowing for hours of peaceful relaxation in the garden or on the patio. Built to last, sturdy sustainably sourced solid wood slats are fixed to the steel frame, that has been hot galvanised to handle tough weather conditions. Characterised by clean, minimal lines, the design is both functional and timeless. A family owned company, Grythyttan Stalmobler designed and manufactured their first chair, the A2, which was introduced at The Stockholm Exhibition in 1930. The chair was an immediate success, and a complete range of outdoor furniture (including Chair 1) followed. This classic collection looks equally as well separated or combined.
