1 Your Account

1.1 Access to the Website and Services is not authorised by any other person or entity using your User ID other than you and you are responsible for preventing such unauthorised use. Individuals and entities whose privilege to access the Website or use the Services has previously been terminated by Yorkshire.com may not register for an account, nor may you designate any such individuals to use your account on your behalf.

If someone accesses our Website or Services using a User ID that we have issued to you, we will assume that access has been made by you. Yarm

Right at the top of the county, lies this beautiful market town. Full of history and with the river Tees flowing through it, Yarm sticks out as one of the most outstanding scenic towns within the region. With a large variety of places to eat and beautiful landmarks including Yarm viaduct and Yarm's 18th century town hall, there is plenty to feast your eyes on here.

Food, glorious food!

The first port of call for hungry locals, Yarm serves up a surprising amount of gastronomical delights. From fine dining through to affordable bistro food, there is something for all occasions here. Whilst there is a wide variety on offer Starters stands out for it's unique approach of offering a wide range of small, 'starters' for friends and families to share with one another, think of it as a Yorkshire 'tapas'. There's plenty of other options too for a delicious evening meal.

Bridge over troubled water

A remarkable feat of engineering, Yarm Viaduct provides the perfect backdrop to this lovely Yorkshire town. It cost just £44,500 to build in 1848 and is 760 yards long. It was built to extend the Leeds and Thirsk Railway from Northallerton to Stockton and Hartlepool. With the river Tees following under it, this viaduct took a staggering seven and a half million bricks to build.

For those heading south from Scotland, Yarm is one of the first places you will come across when visiting Yorkshire. With plenty of shops to have a look round and within driving distance of surrounding areas like Great Ayton for walking and Redcar for seaside adventures, Yarm is a great place to set up base when visiting this part of the world.
