Betty’s Cookery School is a national award winning cookery school based in Harrogate. They’re passionate about sharing their love of food with adults and children alike. Whether you’re a newcomer to cooking hoping to learn the basics, or an aspiring chef looking for fresh ideas, Betty’s offer an array of courses from skill enhancing, to perfecting everyday dishes.

Based in York’s finest hotel, The Cookery School at The Grand, York offers classes for all skill levels. The expert tutors cater to everyone from total beginners and reluctant cooks to aspiring chefs and experts looking to widen their repertoire. Take your pick from a selection of classes created and led by our Head Tutor Andrew Dixon, from international cuisine and Modern British classics, to bread making and dinner party dining. There will also be a line-up of themed and seasonal classes, special events and guest chefs throughout the year.

Cooks, The Carlton School of Food is more than just a cookery school; Cooks is a place to discover food. Learn to grow, cook, photograph or write about food. Come to bake, butcher, forage, preserve, get back to basics or further hone your skills. Explore the kitchen wisdom from the past or the daring foods of the future. The setting in 250 acres of parkland is glorious. The school is in the original kitchens of Carlton Towers, Carlton near Selby, Yorkshire.

Coddy’s Farm, Holmfirth – With a maximum of 16 guests these courses are designed to be informative, friendly and fun. Led by Andrew, farmer, butcher and owner of Coddy’s Farm and Lewis, their chef, the courses are very much hands on and you take home all the produce you prepare during the day. Prices are per person, if you wish to bring a friend additional places can be booked for £15 per person per day. Additional guests join im for refreshments and lunch and share your take home produce.

The Arches Cookery School, North York Moors – occupies a beautiful 200-year-old barn conversion, set on the family’s working arable and equestrian farm, within the North York Moors National Park. Grinkle Park Farm sits majestically on the side of a beautiful valley that runs up to the moors and down to the sea. Sarah Muir born and raised at Grinkle Park Farm, trained and worked as a chef locally before moving to London, globe trotting and cooking for some of the biggest bands and Artists in the world for the next 23 years

Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School, Driffield – Take your cooking to a new level whilst enjoying the Yorkshire landscape – The Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School aims to show you how to make superb food easily. Spend a day with experienced chefs and cook gourmet food in a short time! Set in a peaceful rural location, you can enjoy making superb food in a relaxed, informal setting. Courses held in the state of the art kitchen range from dinner party entertaining, fish masterclasses to bread making courses. Classes for children and gentlemen only are available too!

The Cook’s Place, Malton – Exciting, inspiring and informative courses in a warm and friendly atmosphere, designed for all ages and abilities using the best Yorkshire produce. Choose from courses for parent and child and suppers for two to Sunday lunch and three course dinner parties. Beginners courses will include essential tips including knife skills whilst the more advanced can learn contemporary cooking techniques used by today’s top chefs. Located at 15B Market Street in the heart of Malton – Yorkshire’s Food Capital.

Leeds Cookery School – A vibrant new cookery school offering a range of exclusive Chef-led cookery classes, demonstrations and courses in a bespoke training kitchen within a truly unique venue. Swinton Park Cookery School, Masham – Swinton Park is a luxury castle hotel set in 200 acres of parkland in the Yorkshire Dales. A family home since the late 1800s, it has played host to country house parties of legendary style and grandeur. The Cookery School is housed in the former Georgian stables with a wide range of residential and day courses designed to suit all levels of experience and ages. Courses are taught by Michelin-trained chef Stephen Bulmer (right), who previously ran the Raymond Blanc Cookery School. Raw Horizons, Thirsk – is a family run wellbeing retreat which hosts Raw Food Workshops in their traditional farmhouse kitchen.  Dr Claire Maguire is an absolute food lover and one of the UK’s most exciting raw food chefs creating gorgeous, filling dishes to stimulate all the senses.
