Stagecoach Yorkshire is encouraging families to turn their summer staycations into “Stagecations,” promoting local destinations that are fun, educational, and easily accessible by bus.
Free Bus Travel for Children
Under the Kids Go Free scheme, children aged 16 and under can hop on a bus without needing a ticket throughout the entire month of August. This initiative is designed to help families save money while enjoying day trips around Yorkshire. - Bawtry - A charming Georgian market town filled with delightful independent shops, cafés, and restaurants. Catch the bus on Service 595 to get there.
- Conisbrough Castle - Explore one of England's best-preserved medieval castles, known for its impressive keep and stunning views. Accessible via Service 221.
- Elsecar Heritage Centre - A fascinating spot showcasing South Yorkshire's industrial history, complete with independent shops and galleries. Take Service 66 to visit.
