<strong>Management Accountant</strong> <p><br /><strong>Bradford | up to . £50,000 + benefits <br />Hybrid working </strong><br />We are working with a <strong>fast-growing, acquisitive retail business based in Bradford</strong> that is entering an exciting period of continued expansion. As the business grows both organically and through acquisition, they are looking to appoint an experienced <strong>Management Accountant</strong> to strengthen the finance function and play a key role in supporting the wider business. <br />This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working in a <strong>high-growth, fast-paced environment</strong> and wants to take ownership of the management accounting process while gaining exposure to acquisitions and business growth.</p> <strong>The Role</strong> <p><br />Reporting to the senior finance team, you will take responsibility for the production of accurate and insightful management accounts, providing key financial information to support decision-making across the business. <br />Your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Preparing monthly management accounts and associated reporting packs.</li><li>Producing detailed P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.</li><li>Providing meaningful commentary and insight into financial performance.</li><li>Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.</li><li>Working closely with operational and commercial teams to understand business performance.</li><li>Investigating variances and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and financial control.</li><li>Supporting the integration and reporting of newly acquired businesses.</li><li>Improving and streamlining management accounting processes and controls.</li><li>Assisting with year-end accounts and audit requirements.</li><li>Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and commercial insight to senior management.</li><li>Contributing to the continued development of the finance function as the business grows.</li></ul> <strong>About You</strong> <p><br />We are looking for an <strong>experienced Management Accountant</strong> who can demonstrate strong technical accounting skills alongside a commercial and hands-on approach. <br />You will ideally have:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Strong, proven management accounts experience</strong>.</li><li>A recognised professional accounting qualification - <strong>ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified</strong>.</li><li>Experience producing monthly management accounts from start to finish.</li><li>Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.</li><li>Excellent analytical and Excel skills.</li><li>The ability to investigate financial performance and communicate findings clearly.</li><li>A commercially focused mindset and a willingness to get involved beyond the numbers.</li><li>Experience working in a fast-paced or growing business.</li><li>Ideally, experience within <strong>retail, multi-site or acquisitive environments</strong>, although this is not essential.</li><li>The confidence and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.</li></ul> <strong>What's On Offer</strong> <ul> <li><strong>Salary around £50,000</strong>, depending on experience.</li><li>Opportunity to join a <strong>high-growth, acquisitive retail business</strong>.</li><li>A genuinely broad role with exposure to acquisitions and business development.</li><li>Excellent opportunity for career progression as the finance team evolves.</li><li></li></ul> <p><br /></p>
