Payroll and HR Officer

Do you have strong Sage Payroll experience and confidence managing complex employee relations casework?</p> <p>I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business seeking an experienced Payroll Officer with HR to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a business that values its people, invests in development, and offers a varied role where no two days are the same.</p> <p>Working closely with the Finance and HR teams, you'll take ownership of the payroll process while supporting managers with a broad range of HR responsibilities, ensuring employees receive an excellent service throughout their employment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll using Sage Payroll.</li><li>Process starters, leavers, contractual changes, overtime, shift allowances, bonuses, statutory payments and deductions.</li><li>Ensure payroll is processed accurately and within strict deadlines.</li><li>Administer pensions, salary sacrifice schemes and payroll reporting.</li><li>Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with HMRC legislation.</li><li>Resolve payroll queries professionally and efficiently.</li></ul> <ul> <li>Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees.</li><li>Lead and support complex employee relations cases including: <ul> <li>Disciplinary investigations and hearings</li><li>Grievance procedures</li><li>Performance and capability management</li><li>Long-term sickness and absence management</li><li>Flexible working requests</li><li>Occupational Health referrals</li></ul> </li><li>Prepare contracts, letters and HR documentation.</li><li>Support recruitment, onboarding and induction activities.</li><li>Maintain HR records and employee data.</li><li>Assist with policy implementation and HR improvement projects.</li></ul>
