Employee Relations Specialist
<p>Are you an ER expert who thrives on coaching leaders, navigating complex casework, and driving fair, value-led outcomes? </p> <p><br /></p> <p>This role is part of an <strong>award-winning HR team</strong>, in a progressive housing provider, who are dedicated to creating thriving, secure communities. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>They are seeking a proactive, insightful <strong>Employee Relations Specialist</strong>, who will act as trusted advisor and coach to managers across the organisation. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Key responsibilities include: </p> <ul> <li>Managing an ER caseload covering: performance, conduct, attendance, grievance, flexible working requests (approx 15 cases at any one time)</li><li>Providing practical, legally sound advice to managers, to reduce organisational risk and support fair outcomes.</li><li>Ownership of all things absence and attendance, including monitoring trigger points and reporting, long term absence cases, etc.</li><li>Coaching managers and running training sessions, so they can handle people matters early, constructively, and with confidence.</li><li>Analysing ER case trends to identify risks and implement preventative solutions. </li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>This is a <strong>hybrid role</strong> dividing your time 50/50 between your local office and working from home - if you're reading this, your local office is likely to be <strong>central Bradford</strong>.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Why you'll love this job:</p> <ul> <li>Salary <strong>circa £40,000</strong> depending on your qualifications and experience</li><li>Generous holiday allowance 28 days plus bank holidays</li><li>Health and wellbeing services</li><li>Loads of training and development opportunities including professional qualifications</li><li>Agile, flexible working model that balances organisational needs with your own. </li><li>Values-driven environment where your expertise directly shapes leadership capability and workplace culture. </li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>What you need:</p> <ul> <li>CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent hands-on experience. </li><li>Strong track record <strong>managing complex ER casework</strong> in a complex multi-site environment. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application, and experience preparing cases for tribunal</li><li>Excellent written communication and coaching skills, with the ability to challenge constructively. </li><li>Experience within housing, care, or a regulated sector is advantageous but not essential. </li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>This is a critical role within a talented, friendly and collaborative People team.
