<p><strong>Financial Controller</strong></p> <p><strong>£75,000 - £90,000 + Benefits</strong><br /><strong>Bradford | Office Based | Compressed 4-Day Week Available</strong></p> <p><strong>A genuine No.1 finance role with a growing SME where you'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of the business, not just report on it.</strong></p> <p>We're working with a successful, growing business that has consistently delivered year-on-year growth and is now looking for a <strong>Financial Controller to take ownership of finance and become a key member of the senior leadership team.</strong></p> <p>Reporting directly to the Directors, you'll have genuine autonomy and broad exposure across the business. You'll lead and develop the finance team, whilst remaining hands-on across financial control, reporting, forecasting and commercial decision-making.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional controllership and <strong>really influence how a growing business operates and develops.</strong></p> <p><strong>What You'll Get Involved In</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own the finance function and act as the key finance partner to the Directors.</li><li>Lead and develop a team, creating a high-performing and supportive finance function.</li><li>Take ownership of reporting, financial control, budgeting and forecasting.</li><li>Build models and provide commercial insight to support growth and investment decisions.</li><li>Partner with operational and commercial teams to understand and improve performance, margins, cash and working capital.</li><li>Consolidate multiple entities and provide robust group-level reporting.</li><li>Challenge the business and turn financial information into meaningful decisions.</li><li>Review and improve finance systems, processes and reporting.</li><li>Explore how <strong>AI, automation and technology</strong> can improve the way finance operates.</li><li>Get involved in wider projects as the business continues to grow.</li></ul> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p> <p>You'll be a <strong>qualified accountant</strong> with strong financial control experience and a genuine commercial mindset.</p> <p>You could be an established <strong>Head of Finance</strong> looking for a broader challenge, or a <strong>Financial Controller ready to step into a genuine No.1 role</strong>.</p> <p>We're particularly interested in people who have:</p> <ul> <li>Strong financial reporting and controllership experience.</li><li>Experience consolidating multiple entities.</li><li>Commercial exposure across budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.</li><li>Experience managing and developing a finance team.</li><li>A hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced SME.</li><li>A curiosity around systems, automation and AI.</li><li>Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, retail or a similar operational environment.</li></ul> <p>European/international experience would be a bonus, but isn't essential.</p> <p><strong>Why This Role?</strong></p> <p>This is a role for someone who wants <strong>breadth, influence and the opportunity to make a difference</strong>.</p> <p>You'll have direct access to the Directors, a team to lead, the freedom to improve the finance function and the opportunity to play a genuine part in the continued growth of the business.</p> <p><strong>If you're a commercially minded Financial Controller or Head of Finance looking for your next step, this could be a very good one.</strong></p>
