Senior HR Advisor/HR Generalist
<p>Job Title: Senior HR Advisor/Lead<br />Location: Bradford<br />Duration: 6 month contract to permanent<br />Type: Full-time, 100% site based (stand-alone role)</p> <p>About the Company</p> <p>A growing, medium-sized manufacturing and distribution business with a strong values-driven culture is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to lead all HR activities on site.</p> <p>The Role</p> <p>This is a stand-alone, generalist HR position responsible for delivering end-to-end HR support across the business. Reporting to the Director, you will provide both operational and strategic HR guidance, ensuring compliance, managing employee relations, and supporting a positive, high-performing culture. You will report to a HR Manager who is based remotely at another site.</p> <p><br />Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding</li><li>Act as the main HR contact, advising managers on all employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability)</li><li>Ensure compliance with UK employment law, GDPR, and HR best practice</li><li>Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and records</li><li>Lead recruitment activity and support workforce planning</li><li>Manage absence processes and HR reporting</li><li>Deliver and coordinate training and development initiatives</li><li>Drive employee engagement and support a positive workplace culture</li><li>Provide HR insights and recommendations to support business decisions</li></ul> <p>Skills & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in a broad, stand-alone HR role</li><li>Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice</li><li>Experience managing end-to-end employee relations cases independently</li><li>CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or equivalent</li><li>Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments preferred</li></ul> <p>Personal Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Hands-on, proactive and pragmatic approach</li><li>Approachable, fair, and resilient</li><li>Strong relationship builder across all levels of the business</li></ul> <p>This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a full HR function within a growing organisation.</p> <p>Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
