Having lived close to the pharmacy for over three years this had been my pharmacy of choice (by convenience rather than anything else). Over the last year I have needed several prescriptions and there have always been problems. Fair enough, drug shortages, system and process issues, fine... But that aside the level of staff ignorance is incredible. I understand that they are providing a community service and have a lot of work to do, but even a simple 'I'll be with you in a minute, sorry', especially after making eye contact would be appreciated. Went in today for a flu jab, to be greeted with utter surprise by the assistant and had to produce the confirmation notice. Asked to fill in a form, check. Staff member went off to work on prescriptions again (fair enough), ignored me twice. Finally came back "you need to fill in the back as well", ok. Sorry, you didn't mention that... Fair enough... Wandered off again... Ignored again. I then expressed my frustration, admittedly using an expletive to my partner to be then told by the pharmacist that there are plenty of other places offering flu jabs and she did not feel comfortable with my presence. "We have other things to do and can't prioritise one person"... So how about dealing with the person you are already dealing with then? Granted, I should have tempered my language, but considering this was a conversation with my partner, I used vocabulary that we both are comfortable with. Even more infuriating the fact that my partner was scheduled for the flu and COVID jab after mine... was told they couldn't have the COVID one, and only asked to fill in half the form that I was. Your experience may differ but there are other local chemists, highly recommend anywhere but here.
