I cannot express how poor Northern Assessors has been. This was a straightforward non-fault claim involving a vehicle that was parked and unattended when it was struck by another vehicle, with liability accepted from the outset. What should have been a routine valuation process instead became weeks of unnecessary dispute, confusion, delay and frustration. The most alarming aspect was that Northern Assessors initially disputed the specification of the vehicle and valued it on the basis that it was not a Mercedes A200 AMG Line Premium Plus, despite the original Mercedes purchase invoice clearly confirming that it was. I was required to repeatedly challenge this position, provide supporting documentation and obtain evidence before Mercedes-Benz themselves were contacted and confirmed that the vehicle was in fact a Premium Plus model. It is deeply concerning that a professional vehicle assessor can issue and defend a valuation whilst working from an incorrect vehicle specification. The fact that Mercedes had to be contacted to establish something that should have been verified at the outset raises serious questions about the robustness of the valuation process. To make matters worse, comparable vehicles I supplied were initially rejected because Northern Assessors claimed they were Premium Plus models and therefore not comparable. Only later was it confirmed that my vehicle was also a Premium Plus model. By that stage, valuable time had already been lost. The entire process felt less like an independent assessment and more like an exercise in justifying an existing valuation. Despite supplying multiple like-for-like Mercedes Approved Used examples, I constantly felt that evidence supporting a higher valuation was being dismissed whilst evidence supporting the existing position was readily accepted. What should have been the responsibility of the assessor instead became my responsibility. I found myself: Identifying errors in the vehicle specification. Providing purchase documentation. Collecting market evidence. Obtaining comparison vehicles. Correcting inaccuracies. Chasing updates repeatedly. No customer should have to perform this level of work simply to ensure their vehicle is assessed correctly. Even more concerning was the lack of clarity and consistency throughout the process. Different parties appeared to hold different information, and internal correspondence later suggested uncertainty over whether a revised valuation had actually been completed following confirmation of the correct specification. The result was weeks of unnecessary delay, ongoing dispute, loss of confidence in the valuation process and significant disruption to my family despite being entirely innocent in the accident. Based on my experience, I have serious concerns regarding the accuracy, transparency, quality control and overall professionalism of Northern Assessors' valuation process. This was, without doubt, one of the most frustrating and poorly managed claims experiences I have encountered. I would strongly encourage anyone receiving a total loss valuation from Northern Assessors to scrutinise every detail carefully and challenge anything that does not appear correct. Appalling!!

Perfect. I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the expert report you carried out on my vehicle. During what has been a very stressful and challenging period, your professionalism, kindness, and understanding made a real difference. I particularly appreciate the care and consideration shown by your engineer, as well as the genuine interest in the outcome of my case. I am grateful for the support you provided throughout the process. This note is not specifically about the outcome, but rather to recognise the respectful and supportive way in which the assessment was handled. Would recommend.

Right my insurance company (Acorn/Haven) uses these cow boys. In a none fault accident I choose to get my car repaired at my own choice of garage locally. Apparently one of the engineers from Northern assessors contacted my garage and told them not to replace the back panel instead try repairing it, just to save the insurance company some money, my garage advised them of health and safety risk if they did this. I will report these guys to the health and safety inspectors. They will cut corners to save insurance company money. Dont trust NORTHERN ASSESSORS. It took them over 3 weeks just to approve the repairs. Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid Acorn.

Been having ongoing issues with my car since the so called repair garage fixed it. Adam from northern assessors came out today to inspect my car. Adam was brilliant from start to finish and put my mind at ease the fact that had not done anything to my car and it was all down to shoddy workmanship from the repair. Thanks for your help Adam really appreciated
