The Summer Family Passport allows children to collect stamps every time they visit the cinema to watch the latest family films. This fun initiative encourages kids to enjoy more big-screen adventures throughout the summer holidays. Families can also share photos of their completed passport books on a dedicated Vue Facebook post for a chance to win a £25 Vue gift card.
Exciting Film Line-Up
Vue Castleford is screening a variety of films that are sure to entertain audiences of all ages. Some highlights include:
Toy Story 5: Woody, Buzz, and the gang return for another exciting adventure as Bonnie's new tablet complicates playtime.
Minions & Monsters: The mischievous minions take on Hollywood and accidentally unleash monsters on the world.
Moana: Disney’s live-action version of the beloved animated classic is now showing.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day: Launching on 29 July, this new Spider-Man adventure promises to thrill fans.
PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie: Premiering on 7 August, this film brings back the beloved pups for another action-packed mission.
Mighty Mornings and Big Shorts
Vue is also offering special screenings tailored for younger audiences. The Mighty Mornings screenings, designed for children aged 4 to 11, feature popular titles such as The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, The Magic Faraway Tree, and The Sheep Detectives, with tickets starting from just £2.49 when booked online.
For even younger viewers, aged 1 to 4, Vue is hosting the Big Shorts series, featuring beloved characters in a relaxed environment. This includes a special screening of Talking Tom Superheroes: Suddenly Super, making it a great outing for families with little ones.
Discounted Kids' Tickets
To make the cinema experience more affordable, Vue has partnered with the Great British Summer Savings scheme to offer discounted tickets for children aged 14 and under. This initiative allows families to enjoy big-screen entertainment without breaking the bank, providing a perfect way to keep kids entertained during the holidays.

Research from University College London (UCL) has shown that shared cinema experiences can significantly boost mood and enhance memory recall. The study indicates that watching films in a cinema setting leads to a five times greater mood lift compared to watching at home. In fact, 92% of cinema-goers remembered the same memorable scene from a film, compared to only 47% of those watching in a home-like environment. This highlights the unique and powerful experience that cinema provides for families.
