Halfords Autocentre Doncaster

Had a DRL bulb die. Easy job, if can get at it. Which i can't. So brought it to Halfords. Told to return later, when could fit it in. Not a problem. Turned up at 3:30. They remembered me. Got it booked in. Within minutes was up on a ramp, and all was fixed very quickly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Price was sensible. Whenever I am back in Doncaster, and have a problem, will not hesitate to return. Especially if those further up the management structure were helpful enough to give the poor lads air con in the reception/office area, as was quite warm...

I made a reservation for 2 replacement tyres at 09:45. I arrived 5 minutes early, checked in at reception (where I was asked to confirm my mobile number which I thought was unusual just for a tyre replacement booking) and handed over my keys. I was also told there was a bit of a delay whilst they finished replacing tyres on a vehicle already in the workshop. I took a seat to wait as replacing tyres is usually not a significant activity. My car finally made it in to the workshop at 11:10 and was completed at 11:50. The quality of the job was as expected, so no complaints there at all, but waiting over 2 hours after making a booking is unexpected and not acceptable. The person in reception was pleasant enough, but was using the same excuse with everyone, that the booking slots were for drop off time and not actual appointment time, which is bizarre given the booking slots are in 30 minute intervals and clearly establish expectations that you will be seen at that time. Next time I need tyres, I am more likely to look elsewhere before returning to Halfords...unless I have a couple of hours to burn.

Products was great what we purchased! How ever when it came to paying the member of staff I found was quite rude, I had bought a bike tyre, camping gas and one air freshener (the football ones) I asked my son which he would like and of course with the World Cup on he chose the England flag great I said then placed in on the counter and the guy very rudely scanned it and slammed it down up side down! I picked it up to have a look and placed it face long up and the guy then grab it and slammed it face down so the England flag was not showing!! I assume he felt this flag was not a nice flag?? As to what’s going of in the uk atm but me and my son love football and they was no need to be rude I say leave your politics views at hole when working please 🙏

Fantastic service with a smile. Had 4 new tyres fitted. Received a genuinely friendly welcome and a great service… Would absolutely recommend and I will definitely be using Halfords again.

I had a service booked but the day before something was going wrong with my car. Halfords let me leave my car with them earlier. There was an issue on sorting the payment however Damien was helpful in getting it sorted, unfortunately took a while but that wasn’t Halfords fault. Repairs was done on the car and made aware of any future repairs that would need doing. My car sounds loads better than what it did before so they have done a great job!
